Allagash Brewing Co. founder, Rob Tod, took home a 2019 James Beard Foundation Award last night. Tod was honored as this year’s “top professional in the category of Outstanding Wine, Beer or Spirits Producer.” The James Beard Awards are one of the highest awards accomplishments to earn in the food and beverage world with the goal of “honoring chefs and other leaders who make America’s food culture more delicious, diverse, and sustainable for everyone.”

The brewery posted on their Twitter account to congratulate the brewery’s founder on his award. Tod started Allagash in 1995 and has been a key factor in the brewery’s success throughout the years. Allagash is famous for their Belgian-style wheat beer, Allagash White, and has built out an astounding portfolio throughout the years.
Tod was honored to win the James Beard Award and has given all the credit to his employees and the team effort that is present at the brewery.
