Celebrate Mardi Gras with Abita Brewing Company

Abita Mardi Gras Beers

Mardi Gras is a few days away and no matter where you are, you can celebrate with Abita Brewing Company. Located only 30 miles north of New Orleans, the Louisiana brewery has a stellar lineup of beers to check out, especially if you’re looking for a taste of the bayou.

Abita Mardi Gras Bock

Mardi Gras Bock

Abita’s Mardi Gras Bock is the brewery’s first seasonal beer release each year, dedicated to the holiday that New Orleans is known for. The mixture of malts combines exceptionally well with the spice and pepper flavors from the German Perle hops, which ultimately creates a very drinkable beer. At 6.5% Abita’s Mardi Gras Bock is an easy-drinking brew and something you can enjoy throughout the day’s festivities.

Abita Purple HazePurple Haze

Possibly Abita’s most popular beer, Purple Haze is brewed with real raspberries, which makes it truly unique. Purple Haze is lighter than other lagers and has tart and fruity flavors, which make it a crushable drink all day long. If you’re a fan of big citrus flavors, Purple Haze is a great beer to start and end the day!

Abita Amber AleAbita Amber

Abita Amber provides an alternative to Purple Haze. For those seeking something more traditional, look no further than Amber Ale. At 4.5% Abita Amber is another low ABV and crushable beer, Abita’s Amber is a more conventional style Munich lager. Equally as smooth as Purple Haze, Amber Ale taps into rich caramel and bready flavors that lagers are known for. It’s easy to pair with meals and is a great go-to option, especially if you aren’t sure what styles of beer your friends prefer.

Abita AndygatorAndygator

When you’re ready to kick things up a notch, Abita has you covered with their Andygator. This doppelbock weighs in at 8% ABV, and doesn’t sacrifice flavor. With low bitterness, this beer packs tons of character and a subtle fruit aroma, which makes it very drinkable. The flavors offer a mixture of spice and bread with some fruity notes from the hops. It pairs well with various foods including fried foods, crawfish, or Gorgonzola and blue cheese, and is a great option to sip on throughout a meal.
