Evil Genius Debuts New Packaging

Evil Genius just got a glow up! Beginning this month, the brewery is rolling out brand-new 12 oz. cans of your favorite EG brews with an eye-catching new design. The new packaging is more sustainable and more portable than ever before, meaning beer fans can take EG on every new adventure!

#Adulting

#Adulting is a guava-infused IPA. Pale and crystal malts marry perfectly with Citra and Cascade hops, creating an easy-drinking, creamy, medium-bodied, clean, smooth IPA. It is then infused with all-natural guava, turning this already delicious IPA into something truly unique. Big, bold hop notes of tropical fruit, watermelon and lemon are perfectly balanced by a slightly sweet malt backbone and juicy, refreshing guava.

ABV: 6.8%

Stacy’s Mom

Stacy’s Mom is an American IPA dry-hopped exclusively with Citra hops. Soft on the palate with extremely low bitterness, this is a great example of a new-school American IPA. Citra hops provide an explosive aroma of tropical fruits, lemon peel, peach and mango, complemented by a clean and slightly toasty malt base.

ABV: 7.5%

There’s No Crying in Baseball

Light, hazy and refreshing, this beer is packed with flavor from hefty dry-hopping and natural mango. You could say it’s in a league of its own.

In this beer, chocolate and peanut butter combine with roasted malts and mellow hops to create a delicious treat!

Rebrand FAQs

Q: Why the switch to 12 oz. cans?

A: While the folks at EG love drinking beer in bottles, they wanted to offer the brand in a greener and more portable package so that customers can enjoy Evil Genius at home or take it with them wherever they go. Plus, studies show that customers consume more product in one sitting when drinking from cans as opposed to bottles.

Q: How does switching to 12 oz. cans make it easier for EG fans to access your beers?

A: As people spend more time socially distancing outside, Evil Genius will now be able to go with them to more places than ever before. You’ll start seeing Evil Genius beers being offered at more golf clubs, beach bars and even poolside!

Q: What products will be offered?

A: All of the Evil Genius beers that you know and love are making the move to 12 oz. cans. Evil Genius core beers will debut in the new can packaging beginning this month, with updates to seasonal brews (like I Love Lamp) rolling out as the year progresses.

Q: Why the brand refresh?

A: Evil Genius has changed a lot over the last 10 years, and the brewery wanted to get more creative with their packaging to reflect their growth. Plus, their core and seasonal brands have developed their own identities, and they wanted to give them the opportunity to stand out and have their own voice.

Q: What was the process?

A: The brewery decided to stick with the old adage of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” and went back to the original designer of their logo and packaging and an old friend of co-founders Trevor and Luke, Geoff, for their refresh. Geoff and his team of brand developers at Tank Design created a refreshed package perfect for cans.
