Sierra Nevada Reformulates Sidecar & Otra Vez

Among this week’s new beer releases are two reformulated beers by Sierra Nevada. Sierra’s Sidecar Pale is being reintroduced as Sidecar Orange IPA. According to Sierra, this change was led by a desire to, “push the complex and citrus-heavy flavors of hops to a new level with this orange-infused IPA. Combining bright and bold hops with real orange in the fermenter creates layers of citrus-crazy flavors, yet it maintains a balance and a crisp hop bite that make it the perfect aromatic IPA.”

Sierra’s Gose-style Ale Otra Vez also got a facelift. The new recipe features a shift form grapefruit & cactus to lime & agave. Sierra describes the beer’s new make up, “Sierra combined the classic flavors of lime and blue agave nectar in a tart gose-style beer for the ultimate answer to the heavy heat of the day. The bright lime flavor helps wake up the palate, while the mild sweetness of the agave rounds out the tangy zip of the citrus fruit. Light and refreshing, this all-new Otra Vez will have you calling for another round.”
