Holiday 2019 Exclusive

Holiday Beers Old and New

This festive time of year boasts a diverse and eclectic array of seasonal beers. Some tried-and-true classics of yore are worth returning to year after year, while others, available for the first time ever, are definitely worth a try. Here’s a list of the beers we’re most excited to share – or not – with our loved ones this holiday season.

Sierra Nevada Celebration
The holidays don’t truly start until you crack open a Sierra Celebration. First brewed in 1981, Celebration was one of the original American craft winter seasonals, and it’s still respected as one of the earliest examples of an American-style IPA. Famous for its powerful citrus and pine aromas, Celebration is bold and intense, featuring Cascade, Centennial and Chinook hops.

Great Lakes Christmas Ale
A highly sought-after holiday classic, Great Lakes Christmas Ale is a six-time medal winner at the World Beer Championships. First brewed in 1992, Christmas Ale is made with a yuletide’s worth of holiday spices and sweet honey. It’s a celebrated beer steeped in warm memories and tradition.

Harpoon Giving Gose
Harpoon’s new Giving Gose is a tart and nuanced cranberry gose, perfect for the season. It also makes for a meaningful addition to a Thanksgiving feast, as Harpoon is donating $1 to a local food bank for every four-pack sold.

Sly Fox Christmas Ale
Looking for a stocking stuffer for a loved one this year? Sly Fox Christmas Ale has a handy gift tag included right on the can (the design changes every year), so pick up a six-pack and add some festive (boozy) cheer to X-mas morning.

Dock Street Bubbly Wit
A great addition to any New Year’s Eve celebration, Bubbly Wit is a Belgian-style wit bier brewed with 100% champagne yeast. Toast to 2020 with this smooth, clean beer with notes of citrus, coriander and exotic spice.

Stone Enjoy By 01.01.20
While still packing a hoppy punch, Stone Enjoy By 01.01.20 is also bursting with New Year’s spirit. Brewed specifically to reach perfection just when the clock strikes midnight, this uber-fresh unfiltered DIPA, with refreshing notes of citrus and peach, is “timed” to ring in the next decade with flavor and fun.

Sixpoint Master Blend
Skip dessert and snag one of these! This heavy hitter is an 80/20 blend of stout aged in bourbon barrels for nearly two years and a fresh, young, sweeter batch of stout, providing some fresh roast zing and notes of chocolate fudge.

Guinness Stock Ale
New from Guinness this year, Stock Ale is perfect for getting cozy by the fire. Aged in Bulleit bourbon barrels, this beer is dark, intense and luxurious. Plus, at 10.7% ABV, one might put you fast asleep with visions of sugar plums dancing in your head.
