Smithsonian Announces First Ever Beer Collection at National Museum of American History

After two years of documenting the nation’s craft beer revolution, Smithsonian curator Theresa McCulla has launched a permanent collection of homebrewing and craft beer history at the National Museum of American History. Among the artifacts on display are Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione’s original boil kettle and his vintage, vibrating, electric football game – the one he used to develop the continual hopping method still used to brew Dogfish’s iconic 60 Minute IPA, 90 Minute IPA and 120 Minute IPA.
