Blue Moon Summer Moon Cocktail

A fresh take on the old shandy.

Blue Moon recently created four delicious cocktails using their best-selling Belgian-style wheat ale. Crafted by Master Cicerone Jason Pratt, these cocktails are made using the four most popular spirits – vodka, tequila, whiskey, rum – and Blue Moon Belgian White. Each recipe, which can be found at, is a modern take on an old standby. Pratt says, “Blue Moon, with its bright, citrus elements from orange zest and a hint of subtle spice from coriander, is the perfect foundation to layer flavors on top of. It has all the elements you’d want to make a cocktail with. Once you taste Blue Moon Summer Moon, you’ll know what I mean.”

  • 8 oz. Blue Moon Belgian White Belgian-Style Wheat Ale
  • 1 oz. vodka
  • 2 oz. lemonade
  • Orange wheel for garnish

Shake the vodka and lemonade with ice and strain into a double old-fashioned glass over ice. Top with Blue Moon and stir gently to preserve carbonation. Serve with an orange wheel.
